NEW Environmentally friendly umbrellas made from GreenPlus®
Hambleside are delighted to be one of the first distributors to introduce a range of innovative umbrellas made from re-cycled materials.
Thanks to the development of the revolutionary ‘GreenPlus’® yarn, used PET bottles are processed into polyester yarn which is used to weave our unique umbrella fabric, as shown in the diagram below.
The result is a fabric which performs in exactly the same way as conventional umbrella fabrics with the added benefit that it is 100% re-cycled from used materials. In addition, certain plastic components are also made from re-cycled polypropylene.
The initial offering comprises a choice of stock and made-to-order options. The stock lines are the best selling ‘Pro-Brella FG’ and ‘Promo-Light’ styles in all black livery. (see www.umbrellacollection.co.uk for more details).
Both models feature the re-cycled logo and the copy “This fabric is made from re-cycled PET bottles” on one panel only so there is lots of space for your customer’s logos and marketing messages. Both models also benefit from a tailored sleeve with the same graphics. In addition, our factory are holding stock of black fabric on the roll so bespoke orders, minimum quantity 100 umbrellas, can be printed without the re-cycled graphics if required in a 7 week delivery time.
In addition, we are also pleased to offer the Totes ‘Eco-Brella’ which is made from 78% re-cycled materials and is available in black or natural.

Business South 2007, 7-8 March 2007.
Hambleside Business Gift Solutions Ltd based in Waterlooville, Hampshire enjoyed two days of successful exhibiting at Business South 2007, held at St Mary’s Football Stadium, Southampton.
Bill Copland (Sales and Marketing Director), Katie Farrell (Key Account Manager) and Suzie Marsh (Marketing Manager) were in attendance. The stand was based around the theme of aeroplane products with the message “make your sales soar with the right message”. The stand was buzzing with visitors who were intrigued to find out how choosing the right product for their message could get the best return on their marketing investment. The theme was received well and we have already had enquiries from customers wishing to replicate the idea in their own industry. Those who attended will remember Katie and Suzie dressed up as Biggles characters for a long time!
This is the second year that the Business2Business event has been run at the stadium. With 130 exhibitors and over 2,500 visitors, the event is growing from strength to strength. A number of workshops and seminars were held throughout the day, along with Meet the Buyers and a Business Advice Zone.
